Boglette

Colloquially called the ‘swamp puppy,' boglettes are fun-loving aquatic mammals. Frequently found in wetlands and swamps, they will follow any other creature that comes around, usually hoping for them to play. They get very sad if ignored. It is said to be bad luck if you pass by a boglette without playing with them just a little bit; good luck if one is so happy that it licks you.
