Snalker

a member of the fungi family, snalkers are found in dark, damp areas and seldom wander too far from their hidden burrow. They absorb nutrients through their root-like appendages, which also serve as their means of movement. If startled they expel a cloud of spores at intruders in order to give themselves time to flee.
